Orshi Wren is the Founder and creative vision behind Astral House. Originally from Hungary and now based in St. Petersburg, Florida, she brings a distinctly global perspective shaped by decades of travel, cultural exploration, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.
With a background in corporate merchandising, mindfulness education, and over a decade of design experience, Orshi approaches each project with equal parts creativity, organization, and attention to detail. Her ability to see both the larger vision and the smallest nuances allows her to thoughtfully guide projects from initial concept through final installation.
Travel remains a constant source of inspiration, influencing her appreciation for architecture, hospitality, artisan-made furnishings, and the unique character that gives a space its sense of place. These experiences continue to inform her approach to creating homes that feel collected, authentic, and enduring.
Today, Orshi leads Astral House with a commitment to thoughtful execution, meaningful design, and creating environments that support the way people truly live.
When we decided to move to Raleigh, NC we didn’t expect to find our dream home so soon! We were so excited, but furnishing 4,900 square feet home with our busy lives felt overwhelming. Finding Orshi was such a relief. She took the time to learn about our family, creating a cohesive vision that reflected our lifestyle and values. Our desire was to create a cozy and welcoming home where we could make lifelong memories with our large family and friends.
Handling the design of eight rooms remotely, while also managing purchases, budget, and logistics, is no small feat. Orshi’s realistic 3D renderings made us feel excited and confident as we witnessed our home come together piece by piece. Astral House’s collaborative process and open communication put us at ease. We hired Orshi with Astral House for our new condo in downtown St. Petersburg, and the transformation was incredible. She turned a cold, builder-grade space into a warm, ‘coastal elegant’ home. Orshi handled every detail, from the gorgeous custom built-in bar (which we didn’t think would fit!) to the cabinets, backsplash, wood accents, and custom blinds. She even sourced all the furniture and decor for a total ‘turn-key’ experience; we literally just had to open the door and enjoy. Beyond her design talent, she is exceptionally organized. She navigated HOA requirements and elevator scheduling seamlessly, taking a huge weight off our shoulders.
