Our clients’ intention for their home was to slow down
and create a calm retreat from everyday life.
Describing the space as cold and overly white, they
came to us not only to fully furnish the home, but to
bring in warmth, custom pieces, color, and pattern
throughout with natural materials inspired by the
surrounding landscape.

We hired Orshi with Astral House for our new condo in downtown St. Petersburg, and the transformation was incredible. She turned a cold, builder-grade space into a warm, ‘coastal elegant’ home. Orshi handled every detail, from the gorgeous custom built-in bar (which we didn’t think would fit!) to the cabinets, backsplash, wood accents, and custom blinds.

She even sourced all the furniture and decor for a total ‘turn-key’ experience; we literally just had to open the door and enjoy. Beyond her design talent, she is exceptionally organized. She navigated HOA requirements and elevator scheduling seamlessly, taking a huge weight off our shoulders. LAYERED MOVEMENT

A previously empty niche was reimagined through a custom built-in that adds warmth, storage, and depth to the smaller footprint, while layered blue and green tones and sculptural glass bring movement and reinforce the home’s relaxed coastal story.

EMBRACING IMPERFECTION

We sourced pieces that celebrate beauty in irregularity, from locally commissioned one-of-a-kind pottery to Marrakesh-textile inspired tile, and asymmetrical stones reminiscent of those found along the shoreline, subtly encouraging a slower and more imperfect way of living.

THE BEAUTY OF REPETITION

A custom oak built-in anchors the living area through added warmth, storage, and the repetition of the Sea Haze tone used at the dining bar, while sculptural jute-detailed sconces echo the texture and form of the statement chandelier above.

Comfort was just as important as craftsmanship for our clients, leading us to invest in durable performance fabrics and layered woven textures that invite everyday living while offering thoughtful details to discover over a leisurely cocktail.

INSPIRED BY HOSPITALITY

Inspired by boutique hotels, we designed the guest room as a multifunctional retreat that serves as both a sleek workspace and a comfortable guest room, allowing the space to be enjoyed every day rather than sitting unused between visits.

Our clients envisioned a moody, spa-inspired retreat, so we introduced limewash and woven rope detailing to bring depth, character, and a sense of imperfection to the space, with the walls subtly shifting between blue and gray tones as the light changes throughout the day.
